Black Everest started as a four piece band from Berlin, Hamburg and Oldenburg. In December 2012 Andi left the band for an idefinite time and the band continued as a three piece. To fill the gap again Arne joined the band in June 2013. As you can imagine there were/are a lot of miles between us. What always gets us back together in one room is our friendship and the shared love & passion for handmade heavy music. You can say the friendship is the engine, the music the gasoline.
We are happy to be part of the diy-community and think that no other space would make sense to place this band. Beside the goals to keep our friendship alive and making music together, we are focused on meeting people, collecting memories of magic moments, seeing places we've never been before and escaping the everyday life.
Our lyrics deal with our view of politics, friendship and social issues. We avoid to describe how we sound like, this should still be up to the listener. Meanwhile we released a selftitled 7inch, a split LP with our friends in "Captain Your Ship Is Sinking" and a split 7inch with "Reka". We hope to record our first Album in Summer 2014 and get it released afterwards as soon as possible.
